MBIA is a division of Ambassadors of Change, Inc. (AOC)
a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
The Miss Black International Ambassador pageant (Teen, Miss, Ms & Mrs) exists to give black women a once in a lifetime opportunity to serve as global ambassadors of change.
Each woman embarks on the journey to encourage, empower and enlighten others by providing educational forums and events that focus on health disparities, poverty and other major issues that plague black communities.
My reign as Ms. Black North Carolina began in February 2022. After months of hard work, I competed and won the title of Ms. Black International Ambassador during a 5-day competition in October 2022.
Pageant Journey
Social Impact Presentation
We live in a world where cancer is claiming the lives of our loved ones at an alarming rate. In the US alone, nearly 2 million new cancer cases are projected to be diagnosed this year.
In 2011, my mom was diagnosed with liver cancer that has since metastasized to her stomach, breast, lungs, spleen & lymph nodes.
I know too well the heart-wrenching impact cancer has on families. This was further reinforced when my 3-year-old cousin Camille lost her battle with liver cancer in August 2022. Her passing has forever changed our lives.
Purpose
I am on a mission to help reduce these numbers by teaching the importance of early detection and healthy habits that can reduce cancer risks through my global platform, The H.E.A.L Initiative.
